This summer has been perfect weather for weddings. It’s so nice to be able to get a good selection of outside shots in the sunshine.June was no exception and the day of Lydia and Tril’s wedding was glorious. They were married at The Riverside Marquee in Bray, Maidenhead. It’s situated on the river Thames, so it’s a picturesque spotset in some beautiful countryside.
The day began at the home of Lydia’s parents. I took some pictures of her getting ready and as I always like to do, of her accessories as well. She looked stunning in her ball-gown style wedding dress with its long train which came from The Bridal Gallery London. I had a pleasure to photograph many more brides wearing beautiful wedding dresses from the bridal gallery.
Later I made my way to the venue to take some pictures of Tril, his best man and his groomsmen. They all looked smart in their blue suits with pale pink ties and white roses in their buttonholes (apart from Trill, whose buttonhole was a pink rose).
The ceremony began with Lydia’s flower girl scattering white petals while Lydia and her proud father walked up the aisle towards Tril. The wedding took place in the open-air so there was a backdrop of lush green plants and trees and a trellis arch decorated with white and pink flowers.
After the ceremony, we had some fun with a football. It was the world cup in June and everybody was bitten by world cup fever, even Lydia and Tril!
I also got some lovely photographs of the bride and groom down by the river and outside the marquee, I also got plenty of photos of the guests who were having a great time. Lots of outdoor games had been laid on for adults and children. There were a giant Jenga and a giant Connect 4, as well as footballs of course.
I had a busy time wandering around the gardens taking photos of Lydia, Tril and all their guests. I especially like the photo of Lydia’s bridesmaids either side of Lydia, each one kissing her cheek. She looks radiant and extremely happy in that photo.
Soon it was time to go into the marquee to eat. Each table was decorated with fresh flowers which gave off a lovely scent. The speeches were made with a lot of laughter and then it was time to cut the cake. It looked delicious decorated with berries and filled with cream.
As the evening drew in the marquee was lit with lanterns and string lights on the ceiling. There were purple lights illuminating the walls which created a dramatic effect. I managed to get a really nice shot of Lydia and Tril sitting next to each other in chairs marked ‘Mr’ and ‘Mrs’ and leaning in to each other for a kiss.
After the first dance, other people joined them on the dance floor and everyone shared a great fun evening. I hope that Lydia and Tril enjoy their photographs and that they bring back many treasured memories.
I am a wedding photographer based in Surrey and London, although I do travel. If you would like me to be your wedding photographer, please get in touch using the contact form on the website and I will get back to you for a chat.
