Photographs by PhotoAlbert Wedding Photographer, Egham and Surrey
Karen and Dan’s wedding took place at Weybridge Registry Office. As a photographer based in Surrey, it isn’t the first time I have had the pleasure of taking photographs from there.
While we waited for Karen to arrive I busied myself taking shots of Dan and his groomsmen and the guests arriving for the ceremony. Karen had three bridesmaids and three flower girls who were perfectly coordinated with the girls dressed in pale pink with grey ribbons and the bridesmaids in grey dresses with pink ribbons. The groomsmen all wore pink ties and the wedding bouquet was made up of pale pink and white flowers.
Dan looked handsome in a grey suit and pearl tie. When Karen arrived in a classic car she looked beautiful in a white satin fitted gown with a long train and flowers in her hair.
The wedding was intimate and informal. I particularly like the picture of the happy pair walking through the confetti after the wedding. Even though they surrounded by family and friends they look like they are only thinking about each other.
The Registry Office has a lovely garden with a summerhouse and I was able to take some lovely shots of Karen and Dan together and Karen alone by the summer house and those pictures really show off Karen’s dress.
After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the reception which was being held at the Queen and Albert pub in Wooburn Green, High Wycombe. It’s a Tudor style building surrounded by the countryside and it has a large garden at the back of the building.
The reception was held outdoors and luckily it was a lovely sunny day. The garden was decorated with white bunting and there was a rose covered tressled arch with a large white heart and baubles added to it. It made the garden look very romantic and it was a very pleasant location for the reception.
I took some photographs of Karen and Dan. But, the picture I really like is the one of Karen leaning on the garden’s wooden bench with the decorated arch in the background.
Karen loves baking cupcakes, so rather than a traditional wedding cake, her and Dan choose to have tiers of cupcakes in lemon, pink and chocolate that she’d gone to the trouble of making herself. Each one was decorated with a heart.
They also created a fingerprints tree as a guest book and each guest had to put their fingerprint on the tree like a leaf. Both ideas were original and creative.
Everybody had a great time and it was a pleasure to photograph. I hope that Karen and Dan enjoy the memories they’ll have from their photograph album.
