Emily and Steve – Wedding at All Saints Church and Blacknest Country Club, Surrey by Wedding Photographer in Surrey and London – PhotoAlbert
I was asked to photograph Emily and Steve’s wedding after being recommended by Claire and Ian, who were married last year at Farnham House.
Emily and Steve were getting married at All Saints Church in Headley.
The 14th July was a hot, sunny day with temperatures over 30C. It made it ideal for Emily and Steve’s wedding reception which was in a beautiful woodland at the Blacknest Golf and Country Club in Alton with the food and drink laid out in Bell Tents.
I began the day at the church photographing the groom, his best man and the groomsman. After a short time, the bridesmaids arrived with three flower girls and Emily.
Steve’s best man and groomsmen wore white shirts with blue suits and bow ties. Steve decided to be a little different and he combined his shirt and jacket with a pair of salmon pink trousers which matched the bridesmaid’s dresses.
The flower girls were in white and Emily wore a traditional white wedding gown. She looked stunning especially as she had wild flowers in her hair which matched her bouquet. The flowers were really colourful, and the bride and groom looked perfect together.
Neither Emily or Steve could stop smiling throughout the ceremony and I was able to take some nice photographs of them and their guests while they were taking their wedding vows.
After the service, there were lots of happy faces as Emily and Steve left the church with their family and friends to make their way to the reception.
Once we there Steve and his friends changed into shorts which was a good idea on such a hot day. I got busy walking around the grounds. There were sofas and hay bales to sit on and the children especially liked the giant letters E and S which were placed outside.
As well as taking photographs of Emily and Steve and their guests I also got the opportunity to get some shots of two very special guests –their much-loved dogs. They were dressed for the occasion, each wearing a smart bow tie.
Guests then went into the bell tents for the reception meal. It was decorated with string lights and earthy colours which gave it a fairy tale feel. There was music in the background provided by a singer/guitarist and the atmosphere was very special.
Once the lunch was over the guests spilled back out into the grounds for games on the green and I got the opportunity to get Emily and Steve on their own for some romantic shots with the glorious south downs as a backdrop.
My favourite photos of the day are the one of Emily and Steve kissing outside the church. The wood and stone, together with the colour provided by the flowers and Steve’s outfit give the picture a lovely, natural feel. I also like the black and white photo of Emily and Steve looking at each other while they are standing at the altar.
I had a very pleasant day and I hope that Emily and Steve love their wedding album as much as I loved taking the photographs.
I am a wedding photographer based in Surrey and London, although I do travel. If you would like me to be your wedding photographer, please get in touch using the contact form on the website and I will get back to you for a chat.
